The High Commissioner attends Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s first inaugural address to the Parliament.
The Rwanda High Commissioner to the United Republic of Tanzania Major General Charles Karamba on April 22, 2021 attended the President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s first inaugural address to the Parliament in the country’s Capital Dodoma, a month after she was sworn in as the President of the United Republic of Tanzania following the death of her predecessor the Late President John Joseph Pombe Magufuli in March this year.
The High Commissioner joined other members of Diplomatic Corp who attended at the Parliament as the President delivered her maiden speech to the Parliament during which she outlined a raft of measures her government plans to take in the next four years to stimulate economic growth, which has been adversely affected by the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic.
Among other issues, President Samia Suluhu Hassan addressed on the improvement of business and investment environment in the country which includes easing the availability of permits and licenses to do business in order to attract more investors and other stakeholders to conduct business in Tanzania and boost the economy profitably.
The President’s inaugural address to the Parliament was live broadcasted and she was also addressing to the nation at large.
The Rwanda High Commissioner to the United Republic of Tanzania also joined other envoys in a group photo with the President of Tanzania, H.E. Samia Suluhu Hassan after her first inaugural address to the Parliament in Dodoma.
