Short background story

Rwanda and Tanzania
The High Commission of the Republic of Rwanda in Dar es salaam is also acredited to:
i.  The Republic of Seychelles

ii. The East African Community

The areas of cooperation between Rwanda and the countries of our accreditation are:

Tanzania
The existence of the Rwanda-Tanzania Friendship Association (RWATAFA) on Rwanda’s part and Tanzania-Rwanda Friendship Association (TARAFA) on the part of Tanzania, is testimony of the existence of friendship and cooperation between our two peoples as both have a common outlook, and share similar values and aspirations.

The existing Joint Permanent Commission provides a sufficient framework for the consolidation of that cooperation.

Our common purpose to develop the Central Development Corridor from Dar es Salaam to Kigali is one such example. The progress towards extending the railway from Isaka to Kigali is complemented by the business potential of the Central Corridor to bring our countries, economies, and people a lot closer.
